You can buy 'shika senbei' (deer crackers) to feed the deer, but be prepared—they can get very demanding! Bow to them, and they might bow back.

Don't miss the Todai-ji Temple, which houses a 15-meter tall bronze Buddha statue and is one of the world's largest wooden buildings.

Visit the Kasuga Taisha Shrine, famous for its thousands of bronze and stone lanterns.

Most of the main attractions are within Nara Park, making it very easy to explore on foot.
